Considering the arguments presented by Roland Barthes in order to support his statement, it may be inferred by some that this statement is correct but there are also a number of contradictory arguments that challenge the correctness of this statement. According to Barthes, text cannot be attributed to a single author.

There is a common ground that exists between the author’s point of view and my line of reasoning.
