Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Modern Chinese Literature at the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London and will complete my degree in June 2012. My dissertation is entitled “The Discursive Formation of the Utopian Imagination in New Fiction 1902-1911”.
The research was based on the survey of 160 respondents, 67% of the respondents being male and 33% being female. In terms of age, 40% of the respondents were between 20 and 30 years, 31% in 31-40 years, 14% in the 41-50 age group and only 8% were over 50 years. The majority of the respondents (49%) were working in the sector between 5 and 15 years, and 31% were from less than 5 years.
