Comprehensive Education began because the tripartite system of education had a significant number of disadvantages. For example, the tripartite required that every student be tasted for intelligence before admission, though, there was a doubt whether intelligence could be defined by precision, it posed a difficulty in secondary schools determining their curriculum, and children’s allocation to secondary schools by the use of an IQ Test, but some argued that this could lead to cultural biases.
