The poem “When I have fears that I may cease to be” has been written by John Keats in a form that is like that of the English sonnet. The rhyme scheme, ABABCDCDEFEFGG follows the quintessential rhyme scheme of the English sonnet – fourteen lines of an alternating rhyme scheme throughout the poem and ending with a couplet.
