Download file to see previous pages he frequency is determined from the frequency formula, the frequency is used to determine the time taken by the sound wave to reach at the back of auditorium. Time taken by sound wave is equivalent to the reciprocal of frequency (Culick, 1995, p. 77).
Logarithmic frequency is used because the fundamental steps of sound waves are in ratio form. The sound is divided in a range of spectrum called octave (Campbell, 1999, p. 89). The octave is further divided in ratio 1:2 which is then used in the fundamental steps of sound wave. However, loudness scales for sound is used categorically in measuring pressure levels in newton per square meter in a property. Loud noise is usually characterised with a larger pressure variation while a weak noise is characterised with smaller pressure ...Download file to see next pagesRead More
