The two systems work in cohort. The cardiovascular system consists mainly of heart, arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules, and veins. The lymphatic system consists of the lymph, capillaries, the lymphatic vessels and the lymph nodes. It is estimated that if all the blood vessels were connected end to end, they would measure more than 60,000 miles.
