Quite simply, hunger is not an economic issue but rather a moral one. We are not limited by our inability to help but our capacity for empathy. When this is realized on a larger scale, not only of a fleeting, forgetful phase, then how can there be a hindrance big enough to tamper with our common understanding to help those who are in need.
I volunteered to build homes for people that were homeless. I learned so many new things like how to put windows and doors into a house and how to paint. Providing housing for the homeless was a good feeling. I also worked with a group of people to help these poor people find jobs so they can support themselves and someday gives to others.
