Periodontal disease has and continues to affect large portions of the populations all over the world, including gingivitis, periodontitis, both in the aggressive and chronic forms, and a number of anomalous, but contributory, deformities and conditions. This set of dental conditions affect the gums between teeth and has the potential to cause inflammation, bleeding gums, and the formation of pockets.
