The reciprocal relationship between parents, children and educators is attained by understanding the needs of the children by positively interacting with the children.
Leximancer software was used to conduct a thematic analysis of the transcribed data. To identify themes in the data, all transcribed interview data were entered into the Leximancer software. The initial list of themes that were identified had 11 items: “computer”, “information”, “technology”, “easily”, “programs”, “communicating”, “time”, “available”, “useful”, “pictures” and “applications”.
The educators were asked to name the kind of technology or technologies used in their schools as well as the kind of technology that they have used themselves. The educators’ responses were used as an indicator of the equipment and technologies that are available for use by children with disabilities that were the focus of the study in the respective schools in Saudi Arabia.
According to Orr (2011), on a normal day, the world loses 116 square miles of rainforest and 72 square miles to the ever-expanding deserts. The world also experiences a loss of 40 to 250 species and an increase in human pollution every day as a result of climate change and global warming (Orr, 2011).
The study will focus on picking five top libraries with digital technology in the US which specializes in children with special needs. The study will pick a total of four students from each of the five libraries so as to constitute a total of twenty students.
