Download file to see previous pages I will prepare an aquarium with water, a total of five. I will prepare first 5 various water samples with varying degrees of dissolved oxygen: 0, 2, 6, 12, 18 ppm. Then I will put in several fish in each of the 5 samples of water, perhaps 15 each and count the fish that will stay alive in it after 6 hours or so.
The independent variable is the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water because it does not depend on any factor and it is the one being manipulated for the experiment. The dependent variable is the number of fish because it depends on how much dissolved oxygen is in the water.
The control group is the one which is marked 18ppm, assuming that this is the average amount of dissolved oxygen in water. It depends on the average value of dissolved oxygen in water and that should be the control group. The purpose of the control group is to serve as the basis against which other experimental data will be compared.
6. (1 point) What type of graph would be appropriate for this data set? Why? See p. 18-19 and the two types of graphs. Dont forget that the x-axis (horizontal) represents values for the independent variable (the factor you change or that you want to see what effect it has on a specific outcome) and the y-axis (vertical) are values for the dependent variable (the factor that you predict will change).
7. (2 points) Graph the data from Table 2. Explain the reason for the type of graph you selected and dont forget to include a title, labels for the x-axis and y-axis (include the units). You may submit the graph as an Excel or other attachment.

... Globalization In this piece, Robert Wright uses history as a bastion of globalization. He terms the fall of the Twin Towers as coinciding – around the same time – with the fall of globalization. Globalization is manifest destiny that has been attained. It is vital to note that it also differs from the 19th century focal point that was about expanding America’s borders. This new brand of globalization was about values. For instance, Wright argues that, America’s values of both economic and political liberty have already spread beyond the borders of America. He points out that globalization was sort of pre-destined and inevitable. However, it is not only the ancient societies that resisted globalization but also neo-conservative... Globalizatio...

...?THE CELLULAR BIOCHEMISTRY OF CULTURED REINDEER CELLS i) The signaling pathway for the degradation of FuIL protein. Cellular signaling pathways are activated by both intracellular and extracellular factors (signals). These act on receptors either on the cell surface, the cytoplasm or the nucleus. They then induce a cascade of events that lead to the cell performing certain activities, such as division, motility, apoptosis, and in this case, protein degradation. In this specific scenario, the signal is extracellular in origin. Due to the rapid response, and nuclear events caused by the factor Santa, it is most probable that it acts on nuclear receptors. The santa factor may bind to its specific receptor in the cytosol... CELLULAR BIOCHEMISTRY...
