Watching the movie of Edward Said, I found myself agreeing with his every word and his talk has awakened many emotions and feelings of justice( or should I say injustice?). In my opinion, people often tend to generalize a lot and in 99 percent of cases are possessed by prejudice. That means that if a number of Muslims are terrorists and violent, they all must be like that.

The working class works for the capitalist class in return for wages. The capitalist class exploits the working class by paying them for their labor for the production of goods. These goods are sold at a profit that the capitalists reinvest and continue accumulating wealth. This discussion explores the dependence of the working class on the capitalists.

As I was preparing for the symposium on global security being held today, on the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack of 2001, I came across the Charles Schultz’ Peanuts column in the “comics” section of the Sunday paper and it seemed to offer a touching opening into our subject matter.

A need for change in Canberra has been identified by its people. Canberra needs to become more sustainable, accessible, and affordable. Change must be strategic, with various factors taken into account. This includes respecting the landscape, support of sustainable transport that is also convenient, promoting healthy living, and demographic, cultural, and environmental diversity in a way that will make Canberra a regional leader.
