In as much as we recognize that democracy has its own faults, we also ought to recognize that it brings a lot of hope for future societies in terms of governance and respecting the ideas of everyone in the community and adhering to civil liberties of individuals. With appropriate structures and institutions in place, democracy is the best form or governance and can work effectively for the people.

Boko Haram is a violent Islamic terrorist group that dominates the northern region of Nigeria. This group has gained significant prominence based on the significant influence that it has realized in Africa’s most populous as well as oil-rich country. Since the year 2009, the group has raised a series of anti-government and extremist attacks in the northern and central region of Nigeria.

Ans. The phrase ‘imagined community’ was first coined by Benedict Richard Anderson in his 1983 book Imagined Communities: Reflections on the Origins and Spread of Nationalism. Nation-states have lexical priority over all other institutions and their national interests are defined in terms of power; every state aims at the satisfaction of these interests by maximizing power. The primary motive for all states is survival, and beyond this motive, their persuasions could range from hegemonic zeal to isolationism.

It can be concluded that global warming has emerged as a major challenge. It is not only causing harm to the environment but also destabilizing the whole world by bringing about huge instability in modern life. To counter the threats posed by the current climate change steps have to be made with due attention.
