Generally, the events in the film are not unique to North American society.  This movie and the portrayal of sex, gender, women’s roles, class, and race in society makes me reflect on the issues of domestication of women and societal norms that traditionally restricted women from certain activities.

The story put up more questions than giving answers to me because I realized that there are so many incomprehensible things concerning human nature and the reasons that stand behind people’s decisions that I can’t understand. However, I realized that in order to avoid such situations in my own life, I should be more reasonable and don’t be afraid to acknowledge the truth.
