Debates and arguments about the term and its wide scope is an ongoing topic among the music industry, music fans and artists across the countries.Urban music is a genre that is very broad. If you look underneath urban music, there are a number of core elements that include hip-hop, R&B, garage and into that obviously comes soul music.

Folk music belongs to the small communities in the English village of pre-industrial times. But by the Romantic period, improvisation had almost become a lost art.

During the 1920s, Jazz began to migrate to Chicago, Illinois. Many musicians from New Orleans, including Armstrong, were influencing the local musicians, thus creating the Chicago style form of jazz.

The author explains that the flutist blows a quick jet of air through the embouchure hole. The pressure inside the mouth is above atmospheric level, usually 1 kPa. Ray Charles, an African American jazz musician was born on the 23rd of September 1932, Ray Charles Robinson. He later adopted the stage name, Ray Charles, to avoid being confused with the boxer Ray Robinson. His father, Bailey Robinson was a mechanic and handyman, while his mother Heather Robinson, worked in a sawmill. His blindness came about as a result of untreated glaucoma.
