Punishments and rewards are common techniques used by teachers at schools to reinforce the children for either stopping or encouraging any behaviour. The reinforcements provided by parents and teachers do result in a positive outcome, however, many argue that it is transitory and as soon as the reinforcement is removed, children return to their original behaviour (Kohn 1).
The purpose of this critical review is to analyse the author’s writing style and examine his idea development and flow as these elements impact on readers.
