The newly activist perspective for women is to democratize religious and biblical studies. The role of religion, especially Christianity, will be briefly discussed also since it is at the center of the current controversy with its various denominations' interpretation of the Book of Genesis. The papacy has some interesting views too for science regarding the exact moment of Creation. A man has always wondered about his existence by posing questions about his role in the entire universe. Most questions were largely philosophical in nature and the literature in this area is quite enormous.

Of late, new discoveries by science has cast some doubts about the validity of the idea of creation, that Man came into being due to some supernatural power. The questions and the ensuing debate centered on the origins of human life, the Earth and the entire cosmos or Universe itself. Prior to scientific advances, Man had relied almost solely on religion (and superstition) alone to explain the mysteries of life and the entire universe. A man tried to explain his existence because he was oftentimes subjected to the vagaries of Nature.

This preoccupation with this topic was mostly borne out of fear. This fear is bruited about to be one of Man's greatest fears – the fear of the unknown. It is along this direction that religion was invented, to calm his fears and attempt to explain life's inexplicable mysteries. It can also be seen in Man's efforts to conquer Death itself, to achieve immortality. To do this, he had tried hard to preserve his physical body such as that achieved by the ancient Egyptians by mummification, a process that is hard to replicate even with today's scientific knowledge.

The other massive effort was the search for the mythical Fountain of Youth that will preserve Man and keep him young forever. Other ancient civilizations tried to achieve perpetuity by the use of monuments to symbolize and preserve Man's never-ending search for Immortality such as the terracotta army of China with accurate depictions of emperors with their army of soldiers. Ancient peoples and even modern Man has been in perpetual wonderment what happens when he dies. Death is the great equalizer and Man has never been able to conquer it yet despite all the advances in medical science such as gerontology, genetics, and eugenics (controversial).
