The important step is to write down points to make as if one may want to inform the interviewers about their skills, ask questions and even give examples of their accomplishments. More importantly, have a copy of the Curriculum Vitae and the organization file in the vicinity so that questions are answered confidently without hesitation about the job description or information (Malin, 2000). Make sure a calendar is close enough just in case there is a need to schedule a second interview to avoid unexpected interviews and allow one to prepare. Prepare answers to common interview questions, and seek for clarification before responding to any question (DuPont, 1998).

Put into practice the act of smiling while on the phone because it will be witnessed through your voice, which will bring out the sound of enthusiasm about that position. Improve telephone communication skills by avoiding the use of non-words in the conversation since they are noticed more over the phone and observe phone interview etiquette. Use proper language; modulate the power of voice to make a good impression and motivation throughout the interview. Never hang up instead, let the interviewer end the call and follow up after the interview by sending a thank you note regardless of whether it was a telephone interview (Anderson and Bolt, 2011).

Question 2: A personal commercial is a brief career biography that conveys your career choice, knowledge, skills, strengths, abilities, and experiences that make you uniquely qualified for the position to which you are applying. What content is most important to focus on in a personal commercial? Explain your answer.

The following are the most important contents to focus on in a personal commercial. Consider skills and factors that prove one’s productivity about what they can do for the company rather than what the company can ever do to them since employers do not want to wait for long before one can give out benefits to them. One should present an image that fits the position they are seeking by ensuring that one talk, look, and walk to the standards of that particular position (Malin, 2000). Ensure likeability by being confident when delivering and keeping good eye contact with a friendly attitude accompanied by uncountable smiles.

Prepare a branding brief that is short enough to be delivered within 30 seconds that covers everything and memorize it. Memorize a personal commercial of about 2 minutes that includes a brief and clear description of experience, skills, education, and achievements that show strengths to the job and prove drive towards building mountains with the good skills possessed, commitment, and curiosity because questions about oneself are very common(Anderson and Bolt, 2011). Ask questions when silence fills the room instead of chattering as this might make one give harmful information about them. Avoid coming up with negatives especially about the boss except if there is the possibility of bad news on the way. Develop true but short stories that show one's accomplishments and skills that support all their claims.  Read More
