3. Task significance – the meaningful impact the job has on others at the workplace, giving significance to one’s job.  The others in the workplace should perceive one’s job as important.  4. Autonomy – The amount of free-hand one has to function at the workplace and the amount of freedom one is given at decision-making, scheduling, and mode of performing the tasks.  Even the workers should be having the freedom of the means of doing work and they should be given resources required. 5. Feedback – Information, and review about the performance of a certain job and the outcome of the same.

  The effectiveness of the job should be obtained from others or from the work itself (Marscafe Web Resource).  These five core dimensions produce three critical psychological states which include:-1. Ability to experience meaningfulness of one’s work2. Ability to experience the responsibilities for the results and outcome of one’s work3. Having knowledge of the actual outcome of the work activities to be performed (Marscafe Web Resource).I have obtained a score of 83 and a Motivational Potential Score (MPS) of 4352.

Based on the various items presented in the questionnaire, I do find that most criteria of the core dimensions have been met to a reasonable extent, meaning that my job to a reasonable extent allows me to skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy, and feedback.  However, there is scope for improvement and this involves efforts from the organization, particular employee and the supervisors/managers.
