This book was difficult to read in parts because Horwitz had some very difficult issues to deal with as he moved through the South talking with people. At times he forgot the fact that he was an outsider and at other times it seemed that he might have been shocked at what he was seeing. The main point he had was to go through the South and experience the Civil War again.
It is doubtful that any money will ever reach the individuals who were the actual victims or even their children since the events took place in a very troubled period of history (Ford, 2001). Records, names, numbers may be lost, destroyed and the person making the claim can even find it difficult to provide proof of their loss.
It was evident that the Japanese had no chance of winning the war by the summer of 1945. Even knowing they were defeated, the Japanese Army continued to fight vigorously in an effort to protect their homeland. Both Japanese and American military planners anticipated an invasion into Japan, but the war was suddenly ended with the use of the atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima.
Talking about the economic rivalries and fears of the minority group, we come to the conclusion that the Tamil minority has been definitely ignored, but not the extent of their imagination, which is controlled by a certain political paranoia. It is all a combination of myth and truth from both sides.

While Charles Ridgely released most of his 300 slaves when he died, slavery in Maryland continued well into the nineteenth century until it was repealed in Maryland right in the middle of the civil war.
Roosevelt's own role in the Chats was central to their success. Most often, this role has been described in terms of its familiarity. One scholar wrote that Roosevelt "talked like a father discussing public affairs with his family in the living room". The President related to the public much like a friend sitting across a kitchen table.
