There is no single definition of masculinity but a series of competing theories and expressions of selfhood. While post-modern theorists identify a fractured identity as characteristic of contemporary society it’s clear that scientific inquiries into selfhood and what constitutes gender have been around at least as long as psychoanalytic theory.
In one sense, being homeless means having nowhere to live and dwell too. This is more of the physical existence of a home. A home is a house wherein the basic necessities of a human being are founded and stored for continued existence. These provisions may pertain to clothing, food, water, and others.
Current research demonstrates that Facebook is the most frequently used site on college campuses and the fifth most used site on the internet, with over 85% of all college students utilizing its social networking capabilities. It was determined that the average number of time students use Facebook is near 6 hours per week.
The author states that one of the most important lessons for him in this regard was learning to cooperate and coordinate efforts toward a common goal. He is quite certain that as a social worker he will have to work with and in groups either out on the field and in the office. His experience in this team setting will follow him into his chosen career.
