Your full full June 3, Journal Article Critique I have chosen this article to review because itis related directly with the psychology of humans. As I am interested in knowing the factors that lead to decreased motivation in young adults, this article seemed to be an appropriate one for this cause. I went though a good amount of research to pick an article for review relating to my area of interest and came up with this article. In this article, the author has talked about the effects of long-term use of cannabis on the motivation level of its users.

One of the main key points stated in this article is that long-term use of cannabis tends to decrease the level of motivation in humans because its excessive use decreases the level of striatum in brain, which is linked closely with motivation. Another key point is that heavy users of cannabis usually show less motivation towards achievement of their personal interests. Similarly, another point is that use of cannabis cause psychotic problems for its users, such as, bizarre thoughts and strange sensations.

Moreover, use of amphetamine and cocaine has been also linked with the problems of schizophrenia and low dopamine levels in this article. Summing it up, I would say that this article is very informative as it makes people aware of the link between the use of drugs and the level of motivation. In my opinion, this article is full of valuable information. I would recommend this article for reading to all people interested in understanding the hidden link between the use of drugs and the level of productivity.
