The one connection to all these factors, and the thing that drives a persons' responsibility is their personal world view of how one takes on the task of being responsible. Our views are constraints placed on us by our cultures and by the influences of our environments. For example, Eastern cultures place a greater sense of familial responsibility on their members than those of members of a western culture. In order to understand the world view on responsibility we must recognize what world view we come from as it applies to our own personal lives. There are many nuances of responsibility which makes it difficult to pinpoint a world-view, but we can use a few key factors to help us determine what we consider our views on responsibility.

The first factor stems from a personal sense of honor, a sort of moral and emotional need to fulfill our obligations. The second factor comes from a physical factor and a need to survive. The third factor comes from the society we live in, and the rules and laws we are obligated to follow to function in that society. The final factor is also one of emotion but related to the spirit or our soul. It is our view on how to better our own inner and outer self and how it aids in carrying out all other parts of our responsibility.

All these factors create our world view on responsibility and how we will respond to the events and decisions in our lives.Our sense of honor and our morals and ethics are often passed down to us from our parents, and others responsible for molding our views in the early years. People like parents and others we admire influence how we view our responsibilities. For example, a young child seeing his single mother working outside of the home but finding time to be at the important events in his life gets a two-fold dosage of the responsibility lesson.
