Extract of sample "Organizational Behavior"

To begin with, the manager must come up with a means of rewarding employees who register exemplary performance. This will increase the employee satisfaction levels of such employees as they feel that their hard work is being appreciated by the organization. The manager should also involve employees in decision making especially on matters that directly affect them (Robbins & Judge, 2011). This will make employees feel like being part of the organization thus boosting their morale. Further, managers need to come up with occasional surveys to determine employee satisfaction levels.

This will enable the management to ascertain areas, which they need to improve in order to satisfy their employees. In particular, if I was in the position of a manager, I will begin by undertaking employee satisfaction survey in order to ascertain areas of dissatisfaction. Thereafter, I will implement the recommendations thereof in order to improve employee job satisfaction levels. Once implemented, I will undertake an employee satisfaction exit survey. The exit survey will help in evaluating the success of the strategies employed with the aim of boosting employee job satisfaction levels.
