 Analysis of Team and LeadershipLeadership is defined as the process through which a person influences others to accomplish a specified objective and direct the organization in a way that makes it more coherent and cohesive. Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences individual groups to achieve a common goal (Micah, 2003 p.53). Leaders usually accomplish this process through application of their leadership knowledge and skills.

This is known as process leadership (Jago, 1982, p .113) Whereas Management, is the act of getting people together so as to accomplish desired objectives and goals by use of available resources effectively and efficiently(Wilkinson 2004, p.123). It mainly comprises staffing, planning, organizing, leading or directing as well as controlling an organization for the main purpose of accomplishing a goal. Personality refers to the genetic characteristics of a person that accounts for consistent patterns of thinking, felling or behaving (Jeffry, 2002 p.502) Managers who are in leadership position may fail because of some weaknesses in their personality traits Beliefs and values affect leadership since what a leader beliefs about people, himself or his organization affects her action.

This will take self-conscious. Leader charisma affects team climate positively, prevents negative and affective climate, and has very strong effects on team optimism as opposed to tension. Whereas, cognitive differences affect leadership since non-intuitive leaders may be dominating than intuitive leaders.There are antecedents and consequences of moral courage on leadership and leadership decisions, research done from military force showed that there is positive correlation between authentic leadership and follower's display of moral courage (Coopers, 2003, p.67).There are basically five sources of power that a leader may possess: Reward power which is a form of power based on individual access to rewards,.

Coercive power is power based on leader's ability to punish; the other person who may be a subordinate will comply because of fear of punishment. Information power is the power of influence based on a leader having information that the subordinate does not have. Expert power is exercised by a leader based on expertise in a certain area and the other person beliefs due to the expert knowledge of the holder. Referent power also known as likability power which is based on ones attractiveness to the other party.
