Sara Catlin 24 June Personal Knowledge and Experience Every individual who is born in this world has special qualities endowed to him by nature. A person should work towards analyzing his gifts and using them for his own benefit as well as for the benefit of others. Not many individuals are aware of their special traits and it is with experience and knowledge that an individual tends to analyze his power and capabilities. My name is Sara and I am a mother of three children. I did not get much time to engage in my hobbies and analyze my skills.

Despite of my passion for photography, I could not spare time to either specialize in the field or devote my time towards my passion. I have now learnt of the fact that photography is truly my hobby and I should give sufficient time to utilize my skills as a photographer. I have been much appreciated for the pictures that I take which has further boosted my spirit. Special events and happenings in the life of an individual are truly meant to be captured. An individual tends to cherish these moments for the rest of his life.

Photographs serve as measures of saving important memories and when a person views these photographs later in his life, one tends to go back to the same moment. I find photography to be an art of life that is an art which has the power to stop and capture essential parts of an individual’s life. I started pursuing my desire of taking photographs a few years back and with the acceptance and appreciation of my talent, I started to get greatly attached to this art. I love taking photographs and it is my most favorite hobby.

It makes me feel good to save happy moments from my life and the life of my family members. Photographs serve as tokens of remembrance and memories and I wish to save all the important memories of our family so that one day I can look back at them and recollect all the happy moments of my life. My family is the most important part of my life and I always wish to spend the maximum time with them. I wanted to follow my hobby of taking photographs but I thought it would drift me apart from my family.

I have now analyzed from my experience that my judgment was wrong. I try to spend most of my free time taking pictures of my children and my hobby has actually brought me closer to my children. I am a mother of three sons and the names of my sons are Brandon, Stacey and Wyatt. Their ages are 18, 16 and 13 respectively. When my eldest child was 7 years old, I started taking his pictures during his sports activities. This made me understand that it was a job that I was really good at and at the same time, it made me really happy as I could save important moments from the life of my children.

Brandon was really good at running and his capabilities made him reach to the state level during his high school and he was awarded for best running back on the national level. I made sure to be present at all his races and I used to take his photographs during these races as well as during all the award presenting ceremonies. I followed the same trend with my other children. They all had the best athletic capabilities and Stacey was a very good baseball player and Wyatt was the best at basketball.

I feel very proud when I see them playing and I make sure to be present at their important sporting events. I never wish to forget these moments of happiness and to capture them I always take my camera along. I wish to save these pictures with me forever so that me and my children so that we can all sit and recount our memories of these important events. My passion for photography led me to follow the hobby and I analyzed from my knowledge and experience that it is a task that I am truly good at.

My work was praised by our family members as well as other people who used to see the pictures that I took. I was encouraged by everyone to take pictures for important events which included proms and their senior years as well as action shots. I believe that with more experience, I will gain more expertise in taking photographs. I will continue utilizing my passion for my own happiness and I will expand my capabilities beyond taking family photographs when I will believe that I can do justice and provide the best photographs for others as well.
