Through MA Culture Management, I will undergo cultural mediation that focuses on fundamental issues including ethical professional conducts, and cultural rights or identity. It also enhance social and political interference in cultural representation. I understand that during the training, I will acquire skills to become a cultural mediator who interprets, defines, communicates and defends cultures. This study will help me bridge the gap between arts and the public. From my artistic point of view, I acknowledge my strong desire and love for art, especially in the field of photography.

I learned that photography requires knowledge on cultural diversity since the professional has much travelling and interacting with different people within the society. The perspective has become one of my key incentives to apply for this program. During my gap year and shift from High school to university education, I secured two long-term work experiences based on internship programs. My first experience involved the events team at The Royal Yacht. This is a large and well-established hotel dealing with both corporate functions, and wedding as well as particular meetings like gala dinners of charity fundraisers.

My second experience involved the same event team at Jersey Heritage. Major functions during this placement were weddings put on a holistic site. Such experience gave me a taste of what life looks like in the sector of arts. As aforementioned, I enjoy serving people in different capacities. The desire to pursue this programme heightened after realizing that I will attains skills to uphold cultural integrity, and above all defend cultural rights of all members of the society. Furthermore, it is clear that profit making through cultural industries is not a concern of teaching from MA Culture Management.
