The citizen perceptions of racial profiling have changed since the attacks because there has been a direct consequence of these attacks which has meant stern action on the part of the authorities. The major challenges facing criminal justice agencies as per the use of profiling include the resentment shown by the public at large and the manner in which the indirect public gets affected. This means that the challenges need to be properly vetted before these could be seen as potentially harmful ones for the people (Greenleaf, 2007).
