Extract of sample "My Experience of Not Communicating"

On any normal day with my companion, I am usually the one who carries a conversation and takes the initiative to communicate with her. This is the typical case, regardless of the fact that I am introverted and would rather not initiate a chat. However, since both of us are the quiet type, I would most often start and carry the conversation. My companion would simply ask what is the matter with me then she will return to her own thoughts. However, after long periods of silence, she eventually becomes aloof and irritable towards me.

The reactions she made are of no surprise to me since my companion is usually emotionally distant and only deals with my issues in a very apathetic manner. She does make verbal responses of cold logic at best while lacking empathy. All of this I kept under observation regardless of my emotional dispositions.
