Download file to see previous pages... The major roles of NGOs in the health sector have been on most occasions rated the best and cheap because of their nature of non-profit making, but other unregulated NGOs take advantage of this situation to reap abnormal profits.
These NGO, are better equipped with modern machines and equipment which may not be found in other public hospitals.
The health and illness sociologists are always focused on practices that challenge the way things are performed within the health sector and the way to solve these predicaments. Some of the researches conducted in respect to these are medical services improvement through the better use of technology, the innovative research methodologies whose effectiveness is measured by their quality, global medicine development and also human rights analysis in comparison with the existing experiences of health and ailment.
Chinese are very reluctant to accept the treatment given by the western for them; they prefer traditional remedies to sicknesses. The western do not understand the cultural ways of these people. A dehydrated cancer patient in China cannot take cold water because it’s believed that cold water worsens the situation.
Others are logistical challenges, like the language barrier, medical costs and expenses and finally few specialty doctors. Transport cost is high, the price of medicine could also be high and this becomes a discouraging factor to seeking medical treatment.
