I am seeking money from potential investors, business advisors, and bank managers who will see this business plan. Therefore, in this business plan, the following key questions are addressed: 1). How much investment do I require?; 2). What percentage of equity am I offering in return for the investment?; 3). How will the investors obtain a return on their investment?; 4). What is the potential financial exit strategy for the investors? The business plan provides the answer to all these relevant topics and questions. 2). THE BUSINESS IDEA of an Extensively British restaurant and cookery school comes from its owner’s dream. It will be a 100-seat restaurant with a 20-seat lounge and 2 rooms for instruction with a capacity for 30 students yearly. Its specialization is British cuisine with an Italian touch.
The students will take classes from the cookery school, so the restaurant and cooking courses will be in the same place. It will be located in the thriving and bustling city of Leicester. The prospects for Leicester are very good with the city expanding and growing, especially in the business sector. The population of the large urban city and its environs is estimated at 772,400 people. It ranks as the 10th largest population center in the United Kingdom according to the 2001 census, and it is located near the MI motorway.
Moreover, the city hosts two major universities: Leicester University and De Montfort University. It will enter into business partnerships with them to provide academic and commercial opportunities to the students on both campus and its restaurant and cookery school. These universities offer many things to students, such as training, development, funding, employment, and consultation just to name a few things (DMC 2011). Their partnership program provides many advantages as well: cultural, educational, enterprise, and business programs (DMC 2011).
In addition, it has a considerable assortment of various groups, but it remains a predominantly British enclave. Developers have built up the area for £350 million with 120 stores, 15 restaurants, a cinema, and 110,000 metrics of shopping space. Leicester has the biggest market in Europe, which offers a large assortment of products, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, etc. With its numerous cultural events and department stores, the city is the home to numerous financial and service businesses, which guarantee a stable economy year-round (Wikipedia 2011).
