Alliteration occurs when a number of words with same consonant sound are adjacent to each other in series. While on the other hand rhyme occurs when there is a repetition of similar sounds in words or more words most often in the final syllable of line in syllable. Internal rhyme occurs in the middle words and end words rhyme with each other either in the same line or in the second line or the end word and the middle worlds in different lines. The poem is full of alliteration and internal rhyme in the stanza because they mostly occur together depending on the composition of the piece of work. As illustrated in the poem the Raven a number of words has occurred in series for example in the first stanza…. “While I pondered weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore— while I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.” The selected consonance are “weak” and weary” the first consonance sounds the same in the like manner there is internal rhyme in the same line because the vowel letters in the middle of each word sound the same. The two words weak and weary create a picture in the mind the reader of the condition surround the writer. He has lost the physical strength and tired psychologically creating a sad mood in the beginning with melancholic and sad situation surrounding the writer past the midnight. Using weak and weary in the same line creates the element of music.

Machine versus nature has been an epic tale of efforts and a tremendous struggle to gain supremacy, in the poem a consequence of this battle becomes visible as it lies “dead on the edge of the Wilson River road” (Stafford 11). The “voice” in the poem is representative of a persona of real life, where the speaker wishes to communicate to the audience what he sees as he travels through the dark, how he reacts to this discovery and what actions are taken by him.
Violent incidents happen and are reported daily in newspaper headlines, and through electronic media. Richard Cory belongs to the nineteenth century. A rich man, an aristocrat by all standards, commits suicide as Robinson puts it, “Went home and put a bullet through his head,” comes as a sad note and leaves a question mark as to why does he do that.
In the beginning, of the poem, the excerpt from the first stanza is “a cold coming we had”. This quote sets a scene for the rest of the first stanza, which depicts an image of winter and cold air for the reader. Then it continues by describing the misery experienced by camels, how the camel men complained and the unfriendly towns.
In the poem, Robert Frost makes use of a symbolic setting to help the readers to contemplate on the importance of decision making in life. For instance, the two roads which are diverging into the woods are symbolic of choices in life. The term ‘yellow woods’, is symbolic of autumn season and nature’s readiness to accept a new season.
In his three pieces, The death of the hired man as well as The Oven Bird together with the directive, he tries to develop an ideal society in which there is love and forgiveness (Bloom 22). He creates a virtual environment in which people dialogue and before making decisions, people engage in actual consultations. He achieves doing these by the way he employs the themes he chooses to address.
This is attainable with regards to the modernist, contemporary and the post-modernism poetry and the corresponding fiction in the period ranging from 1900 through to 1939. This feature is derivable from the comparison of the Romanticism
In essence, the poem talks of the journey that was made by the Magi in the Bible, which can be found in Matthew 2:1-12. The three wise men or also identified as kings were the Magi who followed the bright star. The term Magi reminds the readers of the nativity story, how the kings travelled to see baby Jesus and the religion.
