Q.1 I have introduced the idea of youth development in the country. The belief that the next generation is the key to national development in the future remained a driving force for my initiative in the project. The support I gathered came from my social relations. The youth no doubt have the energy and commitment to carry Nigeria forward in the future. The youngsters however, lack sense of direction which I with the help of my team will provide them with a goal that I suspect them to achieve in the few years. Additionally, my focus will remain on generating marketable entrepreneurial ideas and concepts. The entrepreneurial activities are taken as the engines for economic development. The youth will be trained to think and apply it into the practical world. Q.2 The main barriers that are playing a notable hand in terms of making any measures which are taken in order to prevent AIDS ineffective include lack of public awareness, low literacy rate, no system for sex education, and unsupportive behavior of the government and ethical disintegration of the society. The barriers are originating from one source that is lack of awareness (Porter, Wall, & Evans 1993) which is fueled by low literacy rate. The people are unaware because they never received any information about the disease and therefore consider it as a myth until and unless it shows up with all of its symptoms and signs. In addition, the sex education is also not common in the country and because of this reason, the people engage in the sexual relations without succumbing to protective measures. The sexual needs are highly volatile in the uneducated people and they usually got carried away with the emotions and they often come to realize that they made a grave mistake but it is usually too late to say the least. The government’s inaction in this regard is a question mark as well. The holistic approach is required to get the demon under control. The steps needed to be taken to control the disease are difficult and time consuming. The skills needed to implement the plan include strong communication capabilities and access to mass communication infrastructure. Q.3 The disease of HIV and AIDS is spreading throughout the country of Nigeria. The key reasons of the trend include unsafe sex, bad blood transfusion and unclean surgical units and equipment. The sources of disease are present in the society because of lacking public awareness. The significant amount of reported cases is caused by careless sexual relations (Nwokocha & Nwakoby 2002). Additionally, the medical facilities of the country do not have sufficient technology and resources needed to ensure sterilization of the medical gear. The problem can be solved by running public awareness campaigns in order to guide people to use protection while engaging in any kind of intimate business. Secondly, the medical facilities should be given access to latest technology for cleaning the surgical instruments. The government is supposed to help the hospitals in terms of perfecting the methods of finding the virus of the disease in the blood deposited for the use in transfusion. The boilers are the ideal and the most effective method of sterilizing the surgical units and these can be provided by the government only because of their expensiveness. The personal care is also warranted in order to prevent the illness from spreading. Q.4 I believe I can thrive and prosper in any kind of the work environment but the best one is the organizational climate that offers me with the highest level of job autonomy, flexible timing and self initiation. The organization that has a decentralized line of command and authority will help me in the process of contributing in a unique way. I am a sort of the individual who does not want to manage the routine because it makes me bore and most probably I will quit the job and move on to find something interesting and thrilling to do. The project based management is identified as a best mechanism to foster creativity in people. I can use my skills in a less formal setup because the rigid organizational code will bound me from experimenting and in this way, my probability of learning new things will demolish. Eventually, I will abandon the job and therefore, the organization has to present me with a new challenge on a regular basis in order to keep things interesting. I also enjoy working for United Nations and similar international institutions. Q.5 The internship is an effective way to provide the juniors with the taste of practical life. The students should engage in internships so that they can accumulate much of the needed experience that may become handy for them in the future. The students doing internships are not judged in the light of highest standards of service and therefore, they have the luxury to make quite a few mistakes and avail the opportunity of learning from them as well. The paid internships have the higher probability of being converted into permanent jobs than the unpaid ones. The conversion is dependent on one’s job performance. The internships have the power to help the students in building professional linkages that might assist them in the testing times. The social power can indeed get the most difficult tasks done in no time and that is why, anyone should not underestimate their value. The internships are valuable because they are gateways to the corporate world and if one can build a strong and positive image in the opening days then, it will be a matter of short time before a person can land a job.
