In her article, Alice Walker melds her saintly worries with her progressive following views and the ending result in very elevating. In other words, we are the ones we have been waiting mirrors a voluminous revelation that confronts us to put our optimism and trust of people and their inventive potential for changing the planet (Walker 10-15). I choose the “World We Have” because it offers indelible information on the things that affect people and the universe as a whole. In retrospect, I saw it fit to choose it because it also explains what things people should embrace to make the world a better place. The subject of spirituality is something that I have vested my interest into, so I was compelled to pore over the recommendation as I believe that it had important information. For one thing, spirituality is the practice of that field of consciousness where we gain our universitilty. This Thich argues is something the people should put into consideration (Hanh 14). This recommendation would be effective due to the following reasons. Since time immemorial, people more often than not kill each other on a daily basis. However, when we examine the responsibility of spirituality in our society we have to ask ourselves several questions. In this context, the proliferation of spiritual core values is of great significance to the society. For one thing, it is common knowledge that the societies of the world, whereupon the ambition for the material overlooks the value system of the society at large. On the same length, morality only no longer has the capacity to steady people’s heart and minds. Further, dissimilar traditions have different ...Download file to see next pagesRead More
