Photography of Australia presents one of the most spectacular exhibitions of the country’s history. Students investigated the significance of harnessed photography towards creating the idea of a nation. The first group ascertained that this was the first large-scale type of exhibition held in Australia in twenty-five years (ESAV 2012, p. 15). The exhibition contributes significantly towards appreciating complexity of photography. In addition, the show would help in promoting explorations of photography production to enable dissemination of history of Australia.
Group finding reveals that photographs are highly effective towards capturing the imagination and telling stories in significantly powerful ways. Based on the group’s findings, the event of photograph and Australia remains an invaluable treasure-trove that conveys stories that reflect the evolution of the nation from different perspectives.
