The following is a brief critic of the artwork provided: The art is found in Philadelphia museum of art is Done by Catherine Anderson. The art is a paint drawing which falls under the category of fine art. The art is named as ‘pro early morning rain.' The artwork was created in 2015. Basing my argument from the author Jerry Saltz, the overall appearance of the color coordination that is, that of water and that of the environment is perfect, laying in mind the resemblance of the appearance early morning rain and the misty atmosphere.
There is an excellent circulation of the forest. However, it’s hard to concede that it is surely an estate because of poor reflectivity. The poor visibility is sufficiently clear as it is knowledgeable about early morning downpours that are joined by fogs and mists which have a tendency to bring similar visuals seen in the drawing. The horizon is not visible again due to what I believe to be the foggy or misty weather during the early morning. The sky painting resembles that of the nimbus clouds with its gray blanket clouds and rain falling out of it.
The paint drawing has extravagant colors that show how the earth look like amid the early blustery morning hour that is when seen from a window. The window/windscreen additionally tends to form a fog from that it is created due to warm dampness that is inside the room assuming it is in the house or even behind the windscreen of an auto. The overall distribution of the shapes is perfect; one can view the distribution of the woodland which is entirely lined. The painting has a visual texture; I consider the surface as being rough due to the illusion it creates of being water colored paper.
The roughness illusion is created because the imagery of the drawing itself seems to be rough, for instance, the wrinkled curvatures that represent rain falling. I like the coloring of the painting which is dark colored with a mixture of colors that characterize the rainy atmosphere in the quiet morning hours. Starting from the gray coloring of the clouds which represents the nimbus clouds which yield rain to the fading colors used to characterize the environment that is the faded green color to embody grass.
Other parts are dark brown to symbolize bare ground conceivably, and the gray color also used at the rear ground in the midst of the trees or poles to feasibly show the foggy or misty atmosphere within. The principles of design are properly implemented in the paint drawing; the distribution of the environment is balanced that is the arrangement of the poles and an empty land that altogether are not visible on the horizon due to the weather conditions. The artist shows the standard eye visibility levels during the early morning rainy hours that are covered by fogs and mists.
The water flowing down on what could be a window or windscreen draws the attention of the whole painting in that it evidently shows that it is raining heavily. The arrangement of the poles or trees is linear, showing movement. The proportion of the picture shows an environment that has a certain number of trees/poles on both sides, and there is a freeway that is in the middle of the lined trees/poles. The sky is well distributed as it is always evident in real life. The artist also uses dark colors to symbolize a foggy environment, for instance, the use of dark coloring gray color in the midst of the trees and at the peak of the lined trees and the atmosphere which makes it difficult to visualize the horizon fully.
Basing on lessons learned from the authors Darracott and Joseph, all parts of the drawing are unified and thus create an illusion of a rainy and damp morning. Catherine Anderson, therefore, made use of the principles of design that enabled her paint picture to be superb and also possess the quality of being unique. There were no statements included in the drawing, but Catherine Anderson afterward wrote ‘Early morning rain.' I think that Catherine Anderson comments of her picture ‘Early morning rain’ meant the appearance of the early morning hours and According to my opinion, the hidden meaning of the art symbolizes the darkest moments in our lives when we are not able to focus on solving our issues smoothly and more efficiently.
