Impressionism Bibliography The Impressionist movement vividly expresses culture and reflects an understanding of light in paintings. Gunderson, Jessica. Impressionism. Minnesota; Creative Education, 2009. Print. In her book, Gunderson gives a history of the Impressionist movement and describes how a group of artists meeting at cafes in Paris formed Impressionism. Later a series of exhibitions in Paris allowed their paintings and methods to get accepted.
