Education in Technology The time has come when technology and education need to be integrated together. Unlike the previous years, the rate at which technology is advancing today is fast enough, and thus any delays of not integrating it within the educational system might bring a problem. Due to this, there have studies conducted to ascertain the role that technology can play within the educational system. Those for the integration of technology in the educational system and the effect on future careers argue that it leads to access to more sources of information; it is easy to supervise and control the entire learning process, reduced costs as compared with the traditional forms among others (Gary, 222). As has been given above, the role that technology can play if integrated with the system is many. First, in terms of the economy, it can lead to a reduction in costs of the buildings and institutions. It is because it lacks significant physical control between the teacher and the student. Also, most of the learners, in this case, have careers and income thus will have time to concentrate on them. This affects the economy of the country (Senta, 60). Second, it can bring a change and new patterns for library and librarian services. The change can be in terms of the need for new partners for the service to the users, and there can be new relationships among the students, teachers, and librarians. Additionally, librarians and the users need new skills in technology for there to be better services (Robert, 38). Technology in education can lead to a change in the vision and the knowledge of the users of the system. This change can be in terms of managing information instead of saving it, improving and advancing the methods of learning, increasing public levels of literacy, and improving the levels of creativity through the development and support of education. It will also “make science more relevant to young people”(Senta, 63). Furthermore, a system of education that is integrated with proper technology attempts to increase the independence of the users and to make the system more flexible than before. It is through ensuring that students and teachers do not meet physically for a class to occur. They can have a digital class anytime and additionally have time to submit their questions or comments regarding the class. The questions can thus be answered by the teachers in a more detailed way (Robert, 42). Technology tends to eliminate the limitations that the current system has on time and place. A person who is from a location far away from school can access the information, offer comments, take and submit assignments among others digitally. A class may even end up with participants who are in five different continents and are both connected to the system. It can also happen anytime despite the issue with time zone differences throughout the entire world. A person will always attempt assignments during their convenient time and submit them (Gary, 224). Such like a setting also reduces the time spent on attaining goals. The current system dictates that a certain number of years must be taken in high school and college thus forcing people to wait for a certain period before attaining their goals. With the system, they can complete their studies pretty much earlier and hence concentrate accomplishing goals and fulfilling their dreams (Senta, 65). There have also been calls for the effects of digital education careers any difference present as compared to the traditional system. According to research, there are more jobs and employment opportunities that are available if the education system is to be fully digitized. The study argues that this is because a lot of people after having a wider access to education and hence widening their knowledge, they tend to imagine more and think broader thus coming up with more ideas that can transform the world (Gary, 225). In this regard, the employment opportunities hence become more. For instance, there will be more opportunities in the digital education world. “The world is and will soon experience an increase in job opportunities if this system is fully implemented” (Garry, 24).A lot of businesses and proprietors will want to invest more in the system through having stock of the equipment necessary for this. Due to this, there will be more need for the equipment operators, computer experts, and IT gurus among others (Gary, 225). The graduate of the system can seek opportunities anywhere in the world. Due to the economic state of the country, then it will be far ahead of other countries thus “being forced to export its human resources to assist other countries in realizing the same hence improving the relationships that exist among the countries” (Senta, 66). The graduates will help the developing countries and in doing so, they might also start their businesses there. With this, the income generated will start to be remitted back in the country hence improving the country’s economy (Senta, 66) Still in terms of the relationship and effect of digital education on career and its development, the graduates of the system can be very innovative and creative. This has been evidenced by the current concentration of innovations which has been majorly in the fields of IT. For instance the innovations if the IT world relates directly with those in other industries. If any innovation occurs in the military section, transport sector or any other pillar of the national economy, there are high chances that it relates to technology. “Such innovative incidences have been reported in major parts of the US.”(Gary, 227). Due to this, the chances are high that if the graduates or those still in the digital educational system are given what they require, they can make wide and deep transformations and changes in the world. “It is a perhaps at last enabling this ‘diffusion’” (Garry, 226). There can be a lot of inventions and innovations which can transform the world. With this, chances of the world having civil wars, diseases having no cure, people lacking food and dying of hunger and others lacking residences could be a thing of the past. This means that the major challenges facing the world will no longer be available (Senta, 67). However, there are many who still oppose the system. For them, they argue that implementing the digital education form will deprive the current teachers their opportunities of employment. The critics do not consider the fact that there will always be teachers or instructors directing the learners on what to do, when and how to it. Those without formal training in the sector will also be given and hence fit in the system (Senta, 68). Additionally, the critics have it that such a form of education is expensive to implement. The say the system will press the economy and hence run the country into debt. They say that it will be a thing of every year. “The ones claiming so have little knowledge in the running of the economy thus making misleading assertions” (Senta, 68). What they don’t think is that their system will only be implemented once after which it will pick up gradually. With the gradual advancement, it will then pick and from then henceforth, minor improvements will always be applied to the system (Robert, 45). The critics also tie the issue of digital education to employment opportunities. They say that this form has a low number of opportunities for employment as compared with the traditional system. Researchers have however disputed this is claiming that in fact the system offers more opportunities than the current one (Senta, 65). It, however, depends on the capabilities and the economic level of a country for such decisions regarding the implementation of the education system can be done. In this case, the country can choose to advance gradually or immediately change to it.“Abrupt changes within a system do sometimes have adverse and long term effects on the same”(Robert, 46). If it sees it is not ready, it can always stop or postpone the process (Robert, 47). The relationship, effect and criticism against the system have been given in more details. The effects of integrating technology in the sector of education have also been explained in details thus leaving the options for the country to decide whether or not to implement it. However, the system is going to adopted by many countries in future.
