The Communication Accommodation Theory - Essay Example

The theory of the narrative paradigm understands people as storytelling animals. This theory presents a narrative logic in place of the conventional logic of the argument. This logic proposes that people evaluate the speakers’ credibility by assessing the coherence and fidelity of their stories. I shall take the information contained in the communication accommodation theory and the theory of the narrative paradigm more than others. There are specific reasons for that, I find the former very interesting, while the latter appeals to me logically.

I believe that there is a lot of difference between the communication styles of people in power and those who lack power. On the other hand, the theory of the narrative paradigm allows the judgment of speakers to be democratic since no one can be trained for making perfect judgments.
