In Rwanda, the genocide was between the Hutu and the Tusi communities. In Yugoslavia, genocide was seen as a result of negative ethnicity and religious conflicts. It is possible to conclude that tribalism is a major cause of genocide in the two countries. Negative ethnicity is mostly geared up by the selfish political leaders who usually run to their backyard and claim to be suffering on behalf of their community. So they usually charge their communities towards the other.The most likely reason for the genocide to prevail is when some communities proclaim that a certain community that is located in a certain geographical region has an economic advantage over other communities.

So, they try to fight the community so that they can enter that territory and loot the resources available. Resources are very limited and, therefore, some of the fixed sources of production such as land are becoming limited day after day. Therefore, politicians usually use this factor to bring chaos to their nations. In different regions, ethnic cleansing is carried out as a way of eliminating a particular community from a certain geographical region. This was the case that happened in Yugoslavia in 1992.

World leaders are supposed to protect the lives of the people but not to conspire against them.
