Globalization as a Political Phenomenon Affiliation Globalization is the process of improved interconnections among countries witnessed in the fields of economics, politics, and culture. It connects various parts of the world making it easy for people’s ideas, goods and knowledge to move around the globe, resulting to similarity in people’s experiences. Exceptional modifications in transportation, computer technology and communications have given the process new incentive as well as made the world more inter-reliant than ever. The changes have resulted to social movements, economies and laws developing at international level. Political globalization involves governmental action occurring on a worldwide level, where responsibilities, like the well-being of citizens and financial growth, are governed by an intercontinental political body. Unlike in the past where governments normally served the citizens of their own nations, the world now is rather much more globally linked. It, therefore, means that politics often have to take place in an internationally connected setting. Globalization is increasingly and uneasily transforming the world, nations and societies yet there are no persons reversing integration into the international economy. Globalization has its benefits in that it reduces consumer prices on goods and services. However, the insatiable hunger for energy as well as other natural resources has led to rivalry and restlessness, which is a global race that threatens steadiness. It has led to anxiety among countries that have varying economic rules (Berger 2000). Although the history of liberal economics and free trade driving revolution continues, there is a more uncertain reality, where some states operate by the substantial rules of free economic rivalry when it seems right for them, and other time alter the costs of capital, guard and fund industry and operate impervious systems of regulation. The fastest growing developing economies are experiencing higher tensions compared to already developed or developed countries. It has led to an increased intensity in global competition, making countries hold any available tool so as to acquire more advantage in other available markets while at the same time maintain an protect their own. It is hence being considered that globalization is something being done to us instead of for us, resulting to even greater anxiety due to uncontrollable economic levels. Unfettered finance wealth has grown beyond our ability to control it, eventually causing the crash, and for many this demonstrated the unexplainable, instable power of international markets, making pensions and jobs became security damage (Jameson 2000). Undermining its huge benefits has biased interventions of national entrepreneurship from one direction and uneasy politics of a progressively protective developed world from the other. It is, therefore, likely that the deprived countries will be unpleasantly pressed by whichever clash of benefits that arise amongst the more industrialized countries. It can translate that huge companies will become too mighty, making them gain more political power. From a political perspective, it changes the way a country establish its political system so as to avoid any bad effects and acquire its valuable influence. Unlike the smooth and speedy economic integration, there is relatively low global political integration. It can be as a result of more focus being employed on economics by bodies like the AFTA, European Union, APEC and ASEAN, while viewing politics as a future project. However, it works for the better good of the current political associations among various nation-states across the world. Its role in the world politics is to maintain comprehensive and healthy relation among global nations, so as to maintain international harmony and peace (Deng & Moore 2004). The idea of political globalization points to the formation of a world government which functions for the standardization of the current collaborations among nations on political heights. It, therefore, assists in maintaining the political steadiness on world levels. Furthermore, it warrants the rights arising from social and economic globalization. It plays a vital role in inter-state and inter-continental political relationships by making advanced and powerful nations like USA merge its spots and strengths on economic and military grounds. However, political globalization makes developing and feebler nations dependents to the American powers; either intentionally through common endorsements and coalitions, or by force by being threatened. As a result, its mounting admiration has brought about some kind or colonialism witnessed back in history, traceable through the whole dynasty of forms. Its traces can also be found during the pre-First world War colonial period, practices by the USA, Japan and some European nations. It reduced during the post-World War II after a wave of decolonization in a kind of Cold war succeeded. But this has changed in that, it is more directed at improving and ensuring a sound and strong dealings in various nations, leading to the safeguarding of political and social equilibriums on a global basis (Korpi 2003). With the influence of globalization, politics can occur above the nation thought political incorporation structures formed by various transnational organizations like the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank as well as the European Union. Political actions may also extend the state boundaries through organizations such as NGOs. The public society associations also act transnationally through the creation of coalitions with abroad companies in other countries. Their only motto is direct politicization of the global companies and other participants for the well-being of politics, who work via their stately governments. In terms of socialization, globalization has impacted on our lifestyles, families work and societies. Apart from offering many working opportunities and change in the way people work, the impression of social fairness aims at forming a society grounded on the idea of impartiality and cohesion, the ethics of human rights, and the pride of every human being. For example, in terms of gender equality, there is a notable improvement in allocation of work positions where we see more women getting high level roles unlike before. But still the area is in need of more observation because inequality is still viral. Also, due to improved global technological standards, crimes against humanity are steadily increasing. It has also affected the social structure of various societies, where, every society used to have its individual unique norms with regard to their morality, civic sense, language and social norms among other attributes. But due to media introduction, which has a unique way of influencing millions consecutively, has defied the social institutions among societies (Potrafke 2009). It has reached to a point where a society is considered uncivilized, simply because its lifestyle varies from the western culture. It seems like a formed publicity of the western countries to indoctrinate their own culture internationally and in the process make the world dominators. In terms of technology, the influence of globalization brings the desire to ensure that technology is restricted easily in order to aid residents in various languages and cultures. For example, in the software industries, there are difficulties experienced by startups when the global need to shift from a certain language speaking market to another. Usually, their primary product and service contributions frequently are not adequately flexible for ready localization. But as firms become larger, they start to realize the essence of designing their goods with extra flexibility for new markets. Since the internationalization of business, technology as well as trade is here permanently, the national barriers, therefore, have much less meaning than they used to in response to technology. The most universal method to distribute technologies is through trading, which will involve buying and selling goods and services, hence, enabling companies and persons spread their fundamental technologies to the rest of the world. Such consumer services and goods include; high definition television sets as well as mobile phones services and enterprise resource design-systems. Technology has also been globalized through education and training, where scientists and engineers take learn about new inventions and innovations, at times via platforms such as the internet. It, therefore, gives opportunity to participants globally, aiding them in developing and advancing the global tech world. It is therefore important for countries to participate where new opportunities arise, to be at per with the rest of the world. Also, since globalization has been adopted by almost every nation around the globe, it will be of great benefit for governments to come up with regulations and rules that will govern the world at a global level (Koslowski 2005). This will in turn curb crisis experiences and damages that can be caused as a result of selfishness and greediness of some countries. In terms of politics, the assigned bodies, which are responsible for regulating and overseeing the overall political issues, should start to act and perform their duties adequately. Economically, since globalization has influenced positively so far, organizations responsible for regulating it should stay put. They should also ensure there is equal opportunity distributed around so as to prevent future flaws and biasness. In terms of culture and socialization, countries that view themselves as of higher social status than the others should have regulation imposed on them.
