The short, medium and long term look at the United States national security issues and what security issues the United States will likely to face in the future. America competitiveness This may be the utmost long term danger to America’s security is the collapsing basis of its power. The great encounter of the twenty-first century will need a United States that is sturdy and nimble financially as well as militarily. To reinforce the basis of America’s strength, ASP is mobilizing the public with fresh analyses of American competitiveness and faking a dual-party approach that will offer the support of American strength and security for years, Climate, energy and security As the United States changes into the second decade of the 21st century, their leaders face a sequence of choices about energy that will disturb their financial steadiness, the sustainability of their surroundings, and America’s national security. Policy developers will have to address these energy encounters – but none of them are interrogation of yes or no, either, do or don’t. As an alternative, how the United States encounter those challenges will need choices-strategy judgments about infrastructure investment, government policy, investigation funding, and even external policy (Thaler, 109). The American security plan has a strong program scrutinizing how America-and the world-uses and yields energy. It is thought that the way Americans consume energy is unfavorable to their national security, their monetary well-being, and their environs. Without prejudice, we seek solutions. We focus on long term, strategic sets that will control the well-being of their country until the next century. National security strategy At this time, the fears for their security are as composite and varied as complex and diverse as extremism, the spread of weapons of mass devastation, climate change, deteriorating states and economic down fall. Many of these national trials will require answers that go beyond military capacity and utilize all the tools at their clearance. The American security mission is prominent in the development of new state security hallucination and strategy that generate a new American store for the twenty-first century that is open to the challenges and chances we face as a nation (White, 45). Asymmetric operations The United States encounters many defies around the world that are composite because they are irregular in nature. Uneven challenges are those where the unlike performers and components have not the same welfares and proficiencies, but nonetheless intermingle compound ways to make policy tremendously difficult. Through this, there are long term results to the challenges facing the state. Nuclear security The spread of nuclear weapons and growing numbers of nuclear powers universally signifies the utmost danger to manhood. America has tried through global agreements and treaties to cut down the threats posed by nuclear weapons and generate strategic constancy (Miskel, 10). The future security matters that are probable to be confronted by the United States in the coming decades Biological weapons This is the developing of lethal viruses in the laboratories to be used in war against the enemies. One of the most difficult challenges is to find timely and exact awareness on possible outbreaks. The defense risk reduction agency has a team of researchers operational on these problems. Nukes Large accumulations of nuclear weapons are alluring aims of nation-states or individuals set on attacking the United States and its associates, official proclaim. Black market trade in delicate nuclear materials is a particular worry for U.S. security agencies (Miskel, 12) Cyber attacks Network invasions are broadly observed as one of the most solemn potential state security, public security and economic encounters. Technology here becomes a dual-edge sword. Transnational crime U.S. defense and law-enforcement agencies perceive international criminal networks as state security challenges. This group raises instability and sabotage government organizations through corruption. The major issues in state security and homeland and how they interact with the private sector Border security U.S. doesn’t require extra laws to protect their border. The border can, and should be protected through the right use of the systematic adoptions process and realistic enforcement and solicitation of current law. This was one of the reasons DHS came into existence. Aviation security The U.S. should improve aviation security to be more incorporated with counterterrorism processes so that the state’s security measures and ability to act contrary to threats are harmonized in the most effective style (Miskel, 34). Immigration enforcement Effective applying of existing law is one of the most chief constraint to the future illegal relocation and a vital constituent of sound coherent immigration policy. Cyber security This has emerged as a matter of vital state security. Governments, individuals, and businesses are under attack from other governments, cyber lawbreakers and ‘hacktivists’. These attack take hundreds of billions of dollars in private and business data and compromise sensitive government processes. This is the accountability of United States security and DHS to gap the cyber security (Blank, 89). Coast guard revitalization The coast guard offers crucial security in American waters. Of let, the number of coast guard assignments has grown gradually due to the diverse nature of maritime security fears and the need to protect U.S. welfares in unfriendly environments. Ending pork-barrel security- associated grants Homeland security endowments have become the latest form of pork-barrel expenditure and suffer from a severe lack of liability and oversight. Most of the grand funds are devoted on low-value or truly valueless projects (Blank et al, 13). In conclusion, while DHS has made trials to change the above programs, fixed interests have delayed common-sense developments. Countering violent extremism is an important balancing effort to effective counter terrorism plan. More direction and control should be applied to change a laundry list of moral ideas into an actual package to support the public in defending and consolidating the civil society. There should be a solemn strategic discussion on the course of DHS’s security research. It is however rational to argue that the future trends in the United States security will include progressiveness in technology, which will be used in forensic increasing law enforcements. This will include: facial acknowledgement software which will capture and bring together images of the objective target from plentiful number given, unmanned airborne vehicles with super-surveillance camera that can stockpile and stream graphics up to15 square miles at extra fine resolution, data acquisition software scrutinizes through public media sites to accumulate information on suspects and downloads and plots the data to Google earth. The ease and convenience to view and use social media will also add to a cheap timeline between attack and detection. Work Cited Read More
