Active Nature of Visual Perception - Essay Example

The executive part of human activity leads to the taking of an action while the orientation part involves orienting activities. The orientation of activities involves taking notes of the surrounding properties of the object (Zaporozhets, 2002).  A research which was done on children to understand their orientation activity when they are having visual perception showed that orientation activity is not the same in all children. In addition, it was found out that orientation activity in young children at earlier genetics is also different.

This is because it involves having a glance at an object, the eye then manipulates the object. All these activities involve the coordination of neurons in the brain (Zaporozhets, 2002). Complex orientation leads to the formation of a more vivid picture. In connection to this, the sensory completeness depends on the child’s orientation activity (Zaporozhets 2002). The author also argues that an adult human eye keeps on changing during perception. For example, in an experiment, in which a video was played severally, it was found out that a lot of activities take place in an eye.

In conclusion, visual perception is an active process because a lot of activities are taking place within the brain.
