Insert The characteristics of ESFP Introduction The paper looks at characteristics of the extravert, sensing, feeling and Perceiving simply denoted as ESFP which deals with the reality whereby through the senses it is perceived. Extravert ensures that the decisions made are at an interest of human beings and are auxiliary to sensing. Sensing deals with the perception of senses by examining tangibleness through touch, taste, sight or hearing. Feeling involve perception that is more implied than expressed verbally and ensures pranks and jokes do not hurt the victim. The perception which is the fourth lacks balance sense and is suitable in pattern deducing and connections are only visible after the facts are carefully checked. The four which constitutes to ESFP are highlighted and discussed below. Extraversion is the state or act of being more concerned with what is outside than self to attain gratification characterized by more talkative and energetic behavior. Extravert is more interested in interactions with other people to express his or her talkative, assertiveness, happiness and companion. As extravert you are happy around other people and energized in activities comprising of large gathering of people either in parties, activities of a community, groups involved in politics, business or demonstrations and you feel very comfortable at that. Being extroverted then it means that you enjoy when you spend more of tour time with other people as opposed when you spend less time alone and one is likely to be bored when he or she is alone. One experienced more positive emotions such as happiness, and comfortable when is extraverted due to their preference to socialization. The more happiness results as an extravert one like being with others and have fun with other people thus apart from bringing happiness to themselves they obtain the same from other people who they interact with. This makes extrovert be termed as a trait that results in happiness apart from self-esteem and optimism. Examples of extroverts are interested in talking to other people, interested in listening to what other people are saying, interested in participating in groups which may involve community activities, business, and others. Sensing deals with the perception of senses by examining tangible through touch, taste, sight or hearing. Sensing ensures that the data obtained is in a concrete and literal fashion and the information is collected on the basis of senses that are practical and concrete rather than intuitions. It is more realistic as it involves sensing of exactly what is perceived thus for one to be sensible he or she need to be effective to things that he or she comes into contact with through touch, hearing, taste, sight or by feel. Contrary to intuition, sensing focus on the details and immediate realities rather than possibilities in the future and the big picture. They pay attention to the physical world such as experiences and immediate sensation which results to more awareness of the surroundings at the present. This leads to impulsive action as it results to details and the required facts. Sensing can be portrayed through food tasting, noticing when a spotlight has changed, speech memorization or following steps in a procedure. Feelings is whereby I view in making a wise and a best decision I have to weigh what people care about and the situation what people are involved at so as to make the decision and am motivated by the values and the best of people involved in the situation. I’m characterized by care, warmth, tactful and doing whatever is necessary to enhance peace. I’m oriented to communication with people to enhance harmony, I showed concern for others and concerned with what is important to them. I express compassionate, and I prefer making decisions with my heart and I chose to be tactful than telling the truth that can be hurtful. I’m also characterized by others as being mushy, idealistic or indirect. This is because sometimes I didnt have to make decisions based on the guidelines or the procedures outlined but based on what I believe it’s good and correct based on the system value. As a feeler I make the decision involving a case of an individual in a way that is subjective basing my decision not on the guidelines that are impersonal but in what I believe it is correct and good to do as per my system values. Examples expressing feelings are; buying something not because youre forced to buy it but because you like it, deciding not to tell someone about something simply because I feel it may upset him or her, moving somewhere because I want to be close with that person cause I care about him or her, denying a job simply because you don’t like the working environment. Perceiving involves doing things in a flexible and spontaneous manner. As a perceiver, I like things that are open-ended, and this involves postponing of some decisions so as to give room for any other options that can be available and better. Rather than having a plan on what to do I prefer to decide it as I do it. This can be applied as when we have fire breaks in builds we rescue those inside the building immediately as we call for firefighters rather than seating and planning how to rescue them. As a perceiver, I will also act impulsively and act at last minute. Examples highlighting perceiving is last time rush to work, looking for other options by postponing decisions, doing something as deciding what to do rather than planning ahead and acting spontaneously. Conclusion The above four personalities result in dynamic interaction with the environment and experience their life to the fullest. As highlighted above, the ESFP enhance comforts from people and also group work and find tactical methods to help in the context of human needs. They ensure one learns more by doing rather than reading, and they rush to things and learn more through their interactions with the environment. The ESFP ensure satisfaction through fun and interactions and are more concerned with harmony to all. They are elastic, adjustable, friendly and lenient. Work cited Myers, Isabel Briggs.
