This dissertation chapter provides an analysis of emotional intelligence comparing American and Saudi students of the universities. It is inferred from the discussion that Saudi Arabian students who are studying in United States have low level of emotional intelligence in comparison to American students. The findings of this research study made significant contribution to the research world because it helped to understand the impact of cultural differences on the psychology of humans and consequently their performance and behavior.

The issue of low emotional intelligence of foreign students (like in this case Saudi Arabian students) is important to consider because it affects not only the academic performance, but also the lives of foreign students. By identifying the reasons of low emotional intelligence of foreign students, it would be helpful to take measures for developing emotional intelligence among foreign students. Consequently, this would help foreign students to become socially interactive, make sound decisions, become emotionally stable and attain self-actualization.

Theoretically, the findings of this research work are significant because it has provided base for further researches. From clinical and practical perspective, this research is important to deal with individuals who have low level of emotional intelligence and its four factors. The practitioners and clinicians can relate the low level of emotional intelligence of foreigners with cultural differences.
