Riley is portraying excellent relationship bonds with both of us but depicts much preference for his mother. Riley's mother is at home on a full-time basis taking up most of the rearing roles, whereas I am often at my job during the day. I believe this is completely normal, and Bowlby and Ainsworth’s 3-month and 8-month period of attachment changes are absent. I relate closely to my son, and he likes playing with me when am at home. I have seen no major attachment changes, and our relationship with our child proves that we are developing a “secure base” allowing him to explore as depicted by Mary Ainsworth (Mooney, 2010).

Riley’s performance is exemplary in terms of acquiring new skills and learning new things. He portrays concern for color and often arranges his toys in terms of their color. He also considers the size of most of his arrangements. He has a good memory of the locations of formerly hidden objects, as seen during games such as hide-and-seek. He solves simple problems himself, requiring no help from us. An example is looking for his toys or picking up any fallen items. He has achieved many skills regarding his age, proving good progress in terms of his developmental skills.
