Defining Intelligence Question Comparing the two ideas about intelligence, both share the idea of problem solving. They both recognize the presence of a problem which requires intelligence to be solved. Traditional intelligence tests may be useful in comparing test results done by a group of peers, determining academic abilities as well as abilities of a person to perform certain skills. Since Gardner was aware of the drawbacks of his definition, his idea acted as a yardstick to measure people’s competency.

Question 2It is true that a gifted artist or golf progeny is not necessarily smart. It means therefore that, one can be talented even if they are not intelligent. But if the two are in an individual, then they go hand in hand in making an individual a better progressive person. Question 3As a teacher, I can give an assignment which can be completed through different forms in order to demonstrate the use of multiple forms of intelligence. For instance, an assignment to define in any way what multiculturalism is, I might require the students to demonstrate using the jigsaw class, use pictures to demonstrate, give written explanation and even use a song to clearly illustrate what multiculturalism is.

Question 4Having no or little knowledge about multiple intelligences might make one think that they have little abilities to perform certain duties. However, after one has realized the understanding of multiple intelligences, they will get a chance to realize all that they did not consider as intelligence as intelligence, and this will empower them to have the courage to discover more about their abilities and be able to do even more with them.ReferenceGlowing, F.
