I am part of the book club in school. The book club is a group that meets every month to discuss or exchange books that we like. We discuss favorite writers, their style of writing and also promote our own writing. It is quite a small group, considering that the love for books is disappearing with the rise of internet. I spend most of my time on the internet. I do the usual stuff on the internet, browsing, logging on to Facebook and even Twitter at times. I go through blogs that I follow. I even watch videos on internet, mostly documentaries.
Tedtalks is one of my favorite websites when I am bored. Everyone has a group of friends, though mine are quite a smaller one. I have two other friends. We usually see each other every day at school and even during weekends. We talk mostly; discussing other people, our life plans, and our miseries The two friends that I have are my best friends, Mia and Amy. Both of them are quite different from me, and I sometimes wonder how we turned out to be friends in the first place. Mia is the artsy type; she is always making something or the other.
Amy, on the other hand, is the sweet shy type who has millions of friends just because she is so sweet. I reasonably see myself studying and pursuing my career as a journalist. I even have my own blog and it has a good following. My blog is all about the different races in our society and how they operate. I discuss opinions, views etc. I learned that the image of teenagers is quite distorted by media. The girl that I interviewed had a good knowledge of her surrounding and was not materialistic to a great extent.
I liked talking to her and she changed my perceptions of teenagers from the one that I got from the media and from walking through the local malls. Taking the interview was quite a refreshing experience. Since the girl was a little shy, I talked to her initially and develop a rapport with her.
