? Hypothetical studies analyses 1a. The graph is plotted such that each of the variables have its own line on the graph. Each of the lines is distinguished from the other by color cording. A different color represents a different variable that is under consideration. This is effective for the sake of giving a visual impression of statistics. In any event that any variables are similar in any respect, they are distinguished quite effectively with the color cording on the graph. 1b. The results show that the pretest figures are generally fewer than the postest figures. For all the categories which were indulged in, i.e. the number, the standard deviation and the mean, the values for the prtest are relatively lower than those of the posttest. This shows the effects of the training and experience that the participants who were not in the control group went through. 1c. Gender is indeed a PAV variable for this study. The males and the female were made to be 22 each in each of the groups so as to instill the element of gender parity. Just in the same manner that the men got addicted to gambling so did the women. This implies that even if majority of the addicted gamblers are males, there are also female gamblers who get addicted to gambling or whom gambling. 1d. It is with no doubt that indeed the interception that was done against the sample community that id not form part of the control group made it to change quite considerably. An individual who is sensitized effectively against the effects of gambling tends to shun the practice of gambling completely as compared to one who is made to make his or her own decisions independently. This is made very clear by the trend which the graph takes. It is evident that the data for the population which was controlled and hence did not go through the designed program of interception and therapy remained more or less the same from the time of prettest to the time of posttest. On the contrary, the group which was taken through the process of intervention therapy managed to have its figures incredibly improve for the better between the pretest and the posttest. 2a. The graph shows that the data for the students who went through the course designed by the lecturer was hugely different from that of the students whom did not go through the course designed by the lecturer. It is very evident pictorially from the graph that the effects of the course are quite significant given that the graph takes a huge curve upwards at every point that compares the results of the posttest figures of the control group to those of the group that went through the designed course. The graph also confirms the fact that at the begging of the course, during the pretest, the figures of the control group and those of the group that went through the designed course were perfectly similar. This implies that the students had equal capabilities at the beginning and that the fact that one of the groups went through a different course is responsible for the difference in the curve of the graph. 2c. It is very true to make the conclusion that the designed special course offered by the lecturer is responsible for the better performance that is demonstrated by the astronomy students. One very perfect evidence for this fact is the fact the students all got into the school with more or less the same intellectual abilities. The group that was chosen to be the control group for the astronomy students was chosen on merit and it was ascertained that both groups were equally bight. This was ascertained vy the fact that both students sat an examination before the special course was offered and only the students that matched the intellect of the astronomy students were chosen. At the end of the special course, the two initially equal groups intellectually port raid sharply different levels of intellect. This is evidence enough of the fact that the special course offered was responsible for making the astronomy students cleverer. 2d. One improvement to the design of this study would be incorporating a mechanism which ensured that the astronomy students and the students in the control group never interact under any circumstance. This would avoid the possibility of the two groups sharing information and hence no student who did not go through the special course would get to learn the contents of the course. Another improvement would be devising a mechanism to ensure that none of the students who went through the course would fall sick or get stressed in any way that would jeopardize their performance at the end of the course. 3a. The strengths of this study are vested on the fact that it is generally true to consider that the occupation of an individual would affect the manner in which he or she handles various aspects in life. This is applied in the assumption that an individual who works in an IT related firm has most likely studied IT and hence is aware of the possibilities of getting pranked online. Another strength is the fact that an individual under high load is more susceptible to giving away information more freely than individuals who have no load or little mental load on them. The weakness of the design is the fact it assumes that intellectual capability is vested on age. It is possible that an individual who is very young is more brilliant than one who is older and the converse is also true. There is little relationship between age and intellect. 3c. It is true to conclude that people working on IT are more affected by ongoing cognitive demands given that from the data collected, these people prove to give much more of their personal information regardless of the fact that they are in the IT industry and hence understand perfectly the risks that are involved. Their counterparts who are subjected in low load have demonstrated the sense of caution and have been very cautious in giving out their personal information on line. It is common for any normal individual to avoid any risky circumstances which he or she is aware of. Taking that all the participants were normal and of sound mind, it is evident that indeed the IT workers who were subjected to high load gave away their information more susceptibly owing to the fact that the high load was affecting their normal thinking.
