This condition is a big challenge in the society because the victims pose great threat in the society (Bloom, & Dress, 2003). Since they have no conscious, they can engage in criminal activities such as sexual assaults or robbery with violence. The cure for this problem is not yet known precisely and some physicians believes that attempt to cure it yield negative result and hence, makes the victims get out of control instead of getting well. Healthcare providers believe that this condition is either hereditary or acquired in someone’s life time.
As the psychopath continues to grow, the condition gets worse up to a level where a personal becomes physically violent. This condition is so far beyond the control of any medical cure and is not easy to diagnose (Bloom, & Dress, 2003). This is personality which does not respond to any known cure and poses great risk to the victim. This is because, even if he or she suffers a curable disease, this may be mistaken for his or her abnormal behavior hence may continue to suffer from such illness.
However, physicians can distinguish differences in characters and diagnose actual illness from psychopath. Treating psychopath has been and is still a challenge among the physicians. So far there is no known cure for his condition. The victims are however rehabilitated by the prison authority from where they continue to undergo training to become normal productive people in the society. Also, their behavior is monitored carefully in prison hence reducing the risk they may pose if they were allowed to interact with other people in the society.
These people are also taken into hospital where physicians can monitor their progress and how they respond to medication. According to D’Silva,et.al., (2004) the study established that people with high score Psychopaths responds negatively to medication. Although there is no evidence to support this allegation, this sentiment has altered the way those people are handled and hence, in some cases they are no-longer subjected to medication. This claim has made many researchers to work and produce different Medicare techniques to solve this issue.
Most of the affected areas includes healthcare institutions where they handle such patients, and in rehabilitation institutions where such people continues to remain in custody so as to promote social security. The research also aimed at establishing the truth that providing healthcare to psychopaths makes their conditions worse than they were before treatment. This allegation seems to be fascinating since the author argues that so far there is confirmation that those patients are really affected negatively by the healthcare provided unto them.
The author furthers says that no investigation which has been conducted to specifically prove this assumption. The research methodology itself lacked accuracy. If this allegation is true, then there is a high probability that people with such illnesses are a great threat to the society (Sexton-Radek, & Schleser, 2005). They are likely to cause chaos in hospital and prisons, as well as in the other communal places, resulting to redundancy at working places and sexual abuse cases. In D’Silva, et.al., (2004), the research of this article was carried out using secondary research.
They examined the records about patients with similar conditions from various
