Reported reasons for not completing the course included discomfort with the logistics of distance education and lack of available time” (Schardt, 2002, p. 456).  The percentage, at the onset was already almost 50% participation revealing factors for discontinued pursuance as ranging from uneasiness due to perception and applied logistics of distance learning and of course, the element of time. On the other hand, all sixteen participants for the traditional classroom instruction completed the course. The findings were surprising given that initial reaction and response of participants to distance learning were controversial. A review of the findings indicate that “the differences in knowledge retention can be credited to three important attributes of distance education: more time for learning and reflection is available, individual attention stimulates learning, and motivation enhances the learning process” (Schardt, Garrison, & Kochi, 2002, p. 456). After analyzing the outcome, one realized that the advantages accorded by distance learning are focused on the ability to synthesize and integrate all the information that has been provided at the most convenient time. ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

In my attempts to cope with insomnia, I had to resort to somewhat challenging but practical trends that helped me to overcome severe effects of inadequate sleep. First, I stopped using or alcohol and adapted to sober life. I was also forced to change my sleeping time and could go to bed very late in the night. ...tendency to compare effectiveness of the two study modes, namely the computer-based and conventional. This means that the studies tend to follow the same set of rules, patterns and criteria applied to evaluation of student satisfaction in conventional educational contexts. Furthermore, in the choice between the two measures traditionally used to assess effectiveness of various educational models, student performance is commonly given an edge over student satisfaction. Rationale Although recent research suggest that online education can be as effective as traditional classroom models, few studies have focused on the issue of learner satisfaction with computer-based instruction mode, particularly in the...

Her audience could be anyone that is considering online versus classroom learning. She tells the pros and cons but she does not tell the whole story. She does not tell all techniques used. I think she is taking more risk with her credibility than her actual writing because who really knows what her experience is? Works Cited Morgan, Kori. "Compare and Contrast...
